Customer Question

We are thinking of starting of starting a ecommerce based business marketing some imported food items from India. These food items are pre packaged and from good reputable businesses in India.
We would like to set up this entity in Texas.
We would like to understand the following:
a) What are the various FDA regulations to be complied with?
b) Would those suppliers need to be FDA inspected or authorized suppliers?
c) We are thinking of getting the shipments via air and we would like some help on how to send prior notices and clear customs.
d) Also, we would like to understand if there are per shipment transactions fees and duties.

You said you have read the FDA websites on importing foods, so in order to not tell you what you already know, please tell us more specifically what you would like to know about the regulations?
