In California, If I have a legal judgement against my company, can they attach my payroll account? (leaving employees payroll checks bouncing) Or can they only attach the regular corporate bank account. It is a C corp.
Optional Information: State/Country relating to question: California
The judgment creditor can reach any asset of the corporation, except for the amounts that have been withheld for payment to the IRS and EDD to cover payroll taxes (workers comp, unemployment, FICA, SDI, etc.). Hope this helps. NOTICE: My goal here is to entertain while educating the public about the law. I hope my answer is useful and informative to you.
