Resolved Question:

How can I find out if my husband has created a new LLC or a DBA in New York State? The Massachusetts Secretary of State web site allows you to search by principal, but not so in NY.

Thank you for your question and welcome to Just Answer.

You can search by incorporater by hand in Albany. Unfortunately, that information is not currently available online. New York law does not require that ownership information, director and officer information be filed with the Secretary of State. That information under New York law is considered private information.
