Last year I was involved in a failed music festival, as a promoter.

Customer Question

Last year I was involved in a failed music festival, as a promoter. Some of the bands did not get paid in full (about 50%). The festival ran under a LLC and check was given to the band that bounced. What is legality of writing a check, under good intentions of covering by the end of weekend, under a LLC, me and my partner have no assets in the LLC or our personal lives, the music festival was for a charity for veterans? Would we be notified before the states attorney issues a warrant for arrest? I know we need a lawyer but have no money, what direction would get us some representation. Thank you
