Can I print a greeting card with a quote from French author

Resolved Question:

Can I print a greeting card with a quote from French author Albert Camus who died in 1960? His name will be credited with the quote. The card is for distribution within Australia.
Thank you.

No, you will not. Before you print it, you will have to get permission from whomever holds the rights to the works of Albert Camus. If nobody holds the rights, then you will be free to do so, (as the quote would then be considered public), but first check to see who actually maintains his copyrights or else you may open yourself up to liability.
