If a subcontractor violates a policy while on a job site and the contractor loses the contract or contract is not renewed for this violation, can subcontractor be held liable for losses.

Only if your contract with the subcontractor contains such a provision. Here you would have to show that the sub knew or should have known that his actions would cause the loss. That is going to be very hard to prove unless you have it spelled out in writing. Then you would alos have to show that this is the only reason the contract was not renewed, Then you have to show damages and that you tried to mitigate those damages. Here the proof is going to be extremely difficult. Such a case would be very speculative unless there is a provision in the contract. I doubt that you are going to find an attorney to take it on a contingency. That gives you an idea of your chance of recovery.
