started a bussiness "theCustomerinc" in 2007 ,sold my half 50% in feb 2009 .bank is calling stating i am liable for the over draft that other partner acured during the bussiness.original partner and new partner closed the business and gathered all the items .how can i show or prove the=at the dept is not mine .whan i sold my half it was at is..dept and all
If the debt occurred after you transferred your interest you are not liable. Likewise and notwithstanding, the LLC would be liable, not you personally. This is likely a last ditch collection effort before writing off the debt.
