Resolved Question:

I have a customer for which I registered a domain, but the registration is under my account. Have done other work for customer, and he now doesn't want to pay invoices. I no longer will provide support. I don't want to transfer ownership of domain until invoices are paid. Am I ok doing this?

You have what is called a vendor's lien on the domain. You have a security interest in the domain. You are not required to transfer ownership until and unless you are paid in full.
