CAN A CORPORATION SETS LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF SHARES AN IDIVIDUAL

Customer Question

CAN A CORPORATION SETS LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF SHARES AN IDIVIDUAL OR ENTITY MAY HOLD

I believe a private corporation can. It can create different classes of stock and can put into the subscription agreement that all shareholders agree that no one person can own more than X% of a particular class of shares. A publicly traded corporation probably could not limit the % of shares a person can buy.
