Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be assisting you today. If your motor is not reaching optimum running temperature then this will be most likely caused by the thermostat being stuck open and the coolant is continuously circulating, unable to be properly heat by the normal opening and closing of the thermostat.

How long has this been going on? Is your heater sufficiently heating the vehicle?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Several months, it heats enough to clear the glass, idle time lets it heat more.
Expert:  Todd M replied 4 months ago.

So, three things that can affect the heating are the heater core being clogged, the thermostat being stuck open, and the heater control valve being stuck partially closed. All three things could affect the heater system.
