Customer Question

The car starts to shake or shutter at any speed. Also check engine light is on
JA: Does the light stay on, or does it blink?
Customer: It is blinking
JA: What is the model/year of your Buick?
Customer: Enclave 2009
JA: Are you fixing your Enclave yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: We have not tried anything yet. We are on a road trip. When we accelerate, it stops shaking
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: For awhile there, it wouldn't go into overdrive between 70-80mph. The Rpms stuck at 2000 and would not drop down

Hello, my name is ***** ***** I will be glad to assist. Please allow me a moment to gather some information.

ok, the flashing check engine light indicates a engine missfire. that would explain the shaking. it could be plug, coil, or injector.

the high idle concerns me. there could also be a vacuum leak.

a scan that will tell the code which tell us the area of failure. a parts store will read the code for free for you. that will help us narrow the area of failure.

are you there

the idle issue doesn't get stuck high but it hesitatetes to go into overdrive. We've never had an issue like this before but just drove from Colorado to Arizona and it started doing this.

ok, we need to start with the codes that are stored.
