My 2002 Buick Regal has a dead battery and the door will not

Customer Question

Hi my 2002 Buick Regal has a dead battery and the door will not open with my key, how do I get the hood open so I can jump the vehicle?
JA: Did you test the battery with a voltmeter? And have you ever changed one before?
Customer: I can't get into the car to open the hood? How do I get the hood open if I can't get into the vehicle?
JA: Are you fixing your Regal yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: It's just dead and I need to jump it... I tried all the keys I have, the doors won't open I can't turn the keys
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't think so

Hello my name is***** am an ASE Master Technician and I am glad to help you out with your question.

Expert:  Dan replied 26 days ago.

You will have to pry the top of the door back, use a lock wire or metal coat hanger to pull the lock knob to unlock the door.

Expert:  Dan replied 26 days ago.

You will have to unlock it manually from the inside.
