I have 2001 Buick lesabre with 3800 v6. Heater hose plastic

Customer Question

I have 2001 Buick lesabre with 3800 v6. Heater hose plastic elbow broke off in intake manifold. Broke at o-ring and approx 3/16" fell into intake - not retrievable. It is a single piece of plastic - shaped like a ring - 7/8"" in diameter - 3/16 in length - 1/8" in thickness. My question - might this block coolant passageway - or maybe not??

Hello, my name is***** think are are fine, I doubt it will clog anything up considering it is so small and hallow. I would try to start vehicle with hose disconnected to see if coolant pushes the plastic elbow out. If not your next option is to remove intake manifold or leave it alone, I think you are fine to leave it alone. Let me know if you have more questions. Thanks.
