Buick Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
sorry for the delay.............Greetings...... “Hi, I’m Don (aka MOLurch) and I look forward to helping you!”.The Power Door Lock System is controlled by the body control module (BCM)
When the body control module (BCM) detects a transition of either of the door lock switches to the lock position, it switches the door lock actuator lock control circuit to voltage. Since the lock actuator unlock control circuits are at ground potential within the BCM, the door lock actuator motors transition to the lock position.Since the BCM has Internal Relays for the Lock & Unlock, use of GM Dealer Scan Tool or equal is needed to Test & Programapprx 1 hour laborThere is no customer Input, but to test Voltage at each Door Lock Actuator & check connections
