do you have a good scan tool?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
There are no codes.
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

there has to be if the air bag light and abs light is on....does your scan tool have air bag and abs capabilities? or just engine?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Probably just engine
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
My Code reader is A CAN OBD2 Coder Reader. Memoscaner 480. If that means anything.
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

you need to buy or borrow a better scan tool so we can access air bag and abs codes... have you checked refrigerant pressure?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Refrigerant level normal for not operating. Would that have anything to do with air bag or interior lighting? Incidentally, the ABS light is not on. oly the AIR Bag and Trac.
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

traction control is the abs system.. you stated ac compressor not engaging...

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
ABS light comes on and goes out after starting engine.
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

abs and traction control are a shared system so to pull traction control codes you would need a scan tool with abs capabilities

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
That is right. All the problems probably have the same route as they all occurred at the same time.
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

so a good scan tool is the first step...

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I'll have to wait until tomorrow for the scan as it 10:14 and the auto parts places are closed.. Oh, I looks at the manual for my scanner and it does have codes for the ABS sytem and eveyhing else. But there were no codes from the scanner.
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

as far as I know that will only retrieve P codes

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
It shows U codes also.
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

most traction control are C codes...

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
What would cause the interior light and the tunk button not to work? the remote trunk control does work.
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

all the fuses good?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I have checked every one of them. All good
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

if everything happened at once you may have a bcm failure

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
OK, where might I find that and are there more than one?
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

Under the right side of the instrument panel, near the rear of the instrument panel compartment

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
OK, I'll try the scan just before noon EST tomorrow and we will go from there
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

ok

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Went to advanced Auto Parts who got the same reading that I got + no codes. What is the next step. Do I have to take the car to a dealer to get the BCM reprogramed if that is the problem? any other options?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Did you call it quits? Should I rate an unfinished question at this time?
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

im sorry I was off all day..does the scan tool they used have air bag and abs traction control capabilities?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I opted out over an hour ago.
Expert:  john aka eauto replied 10 months ago.

ok it does not show that...best of luck
