98 buick lesabre only blows outside or hot air, no cold air. Just had ac recharged, compressor cycles on and off..

OK.. let's start with some basic questions.. You said it was just recharged .. was it done by a professional shop? Second: if the compressor is cycles off and on it sounds like the charge may not be correct.. What we do is fully evacuate the system, then install the exact amount done to the ounce required. Next with the vehicle running we check our Hi and Lo side pressures ... Usually 300 over 40 would be a good reading.. If the compressor is still cycling then we need to be sure the pressure switch that controls the compressor cycling is not the problem. The other thing that is critical is the blower fan on the condenser has to be on.. if not head pressure go high and you also will get a quick cycling compressor. So all these things have to be in place in order to correctly diagnose an ac system. Hope this helps ... kinda of an quick coverage of an ac system. Jim
