Airbag light went on, Code BO 020. An open in the right side

Customer Question

Airbag light went on, Code BO 020. An open in the right side air bag. Is there a sensor for that airbag that needs to be replaced. Tried to reconnect the connector under the passenger seat.

Hi, I'm Ron and I can help you. A scan tool is needed to identify the failure and test the system bi-directionally. This test will confirm if there is sensor or bag issue. Any tampering with the system can and will deploy the air bag. Hope this helps you.

Thanks, Ron
