buick rendevous battery indicator still flashes after changing the alternator?

Hi,my name is ***** ***** I will be happy to try to assist you with this.I may need more information in some cases to help with answering your question.I apologize for any delay and I am posting as soon as I saw your question myself.
The alternator getting hot and not charging indicates a short in the wiring leading from the alternator to the battery or high resistance in the cable leading from the alternator to the battery itself.
The wiring cable needs inspected to see if it is found loose, corroded or damaged in any way and if a fault is found with the cable it needs to be repaired if repairable or replaced.
I have seen the cable short out on metal brackets and engine components and cause this here as well as high corrosion or being loose cause this as well.
Thanks Pete

Checked all the ground wires nothing wrong with the grounds. We had already checked the grounding with the same problem. Not sure how exactly this service works?

I apologize for the delay.
Have you traced all wiring from the alternator to make sure no wiring is shorted at all?
