There is a key hole in the trunk that you can use to open the trunk if that does not work you would need to get that lock cylinder replaced.
where is it he cant seem to find it. If he manually locks the door he is unable to unlock it as well.
There maybe a emblem that pivots so that the lock cylinder can be accessed, there should also be a key hole in the drivers door, I have never seen a car without one except a corvette.zzdaryl41107.9200618403
There is but his key won't unlock either of them.
Its possible that the key has been changed at some point or the lock cylinder can get set up from not using them so you might try spraying some penetrating oil in the holes and work the lock back and forth a little to try in loosen the lock cylinders but if you can not get them to turn you would need to have them replaced. It would probably be cheaper to buy a new key fob at your local dealer, you may also need to have them program it for you.
I know the key has never been changed. The locks getting set make sense. My mother has owned the car since it was brand new and i'm sure she rarely if ever used the key to unlock either the trunk or the doors. Thanks so much. we will give it a try.
Ok good luck, please leave me a good rating
one last thing would it matter if the key he has is the spare key and i will rate you excellent
It really should not matter, if it were a valet key it probably would not work in the trunk but it should still work in the door and it would say valet on it.
