Where are the starter and alternator located? Would it be the battery if all the lights, etc. are coming on?
The starter is at the lower front of the vehicle attached to the side of the engine, the alternator is on the top of the engine on the passengers side. The lights take very little voltage so it could still be low voltage caused by a bad alternator or battery, but if you try to jump start the vehicle and it still will not crank there must be another issue.
So if you tried to jump it and it still just clicked once it is more than likely an alternator or starter?
If it just clicked one time or several in a row the problem is most likely a starter or a voltage issue, as for the voltage issue its very common for the battery cable ends to get corroded and cause this clicking issue.
