Relist: Other. I never got an answer in the first place... but the original question is: MyXXXXX will not take off in first gear. It takes off in 2nd gear. Just started doing this yesterday afternoon. Car has only 60000 miles on it. Putting the selector down in 1st... the car will take off in first and remain there obviously until manually shifting out. So there is nothing wrong with 1st gear... only that the vehicle is not supposed to be taking off from a stopped position in 2nd. Whats up??
