Welcome to Just Answer.com. I'm here to help you and your 100% satisfaction is my goal.

Generally the shift cable end wears and pops off at the transmission lever. The end is not available separately and the shift cable itself must be replaced to do it properly. Temporarily you may be able to pop it back on and possibly secure it with a tie strap.

If you open the hood and look behind the air filter and down to the transmission (it's a bit buried under the air cleaner duct) you should be able to see the shift cable and where it attatches to the trans.
