Just purchased a 2012 Buick Enclave. Dealership put on the hitch and electrical connection in order to tow my boat. Loaded, my boat is right on the line at 4500 lbs. Wondering if I should install a transmission oil cooler?

Thanks for your question. Sorry you're having car problems. If I go off line, just leave a message and I'll be right back. DO NOT leave feedback yet. DEFINITELY install the cooler, you may be sorry if you don't. It's better to run it a little cooler than a LOT hotter causing tranny damage. And also be sure to NEVER drive it in overdrive when towing. Hope this helps you. Thanks that's what I thought. GM has a full radiator with internal tranny cooler (as I understand it). Getting it replaced thought could be close to $1000. Would an externally mounted tranny cooler still do the trick and at a cheaper cost?
An external is what I use a it gets the same job done for a whole lot less money. Ron
