Hi, I am contacting you so that I have some knowledge of my car's problem before I go to the dealer and they try to rip me off. I have a 2000 Buick CenuturyCU with only 47,600 miles. I constantly go for oil changes and take care of this car.The car has started to jerk when I step on the accelerator. Then it rides smoothly.Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi Again, ERic, No light on dashboard I drove car around complex, starting and stopping and it was fine.It basically happened in stop and go traffic and continued for maybe 1/4 mile til I got home even though I speeded up a little. Then I came home. Sorry I can't give you more details.
Hi,Common problems to cause this range from engine misfire(plugs/wires/coil), faulty fuel injector, fuel filter or fuel pump, or possibly a faulty TP sensor on the throttle body. I wish I could narrow down to just one or two things, but the symptoms in this case can be one of several potential causes. Please note, your Deposit doesn't constitute a payment. These are the last questions I will bother you with and also, thanks for your expertise. At least now, I don't feel so dumb.1. Do you think I should wait til the problem happens again before I take it in somewhere? Will a mechanic be able to see the problem? We have lots of young ones around where I live.2. Please, please tell me that you don't think it's the transmission!
