I have a 2000 Buick LeSaber, I have a high pitch rotational squeal when turning left. I have replaced the front and rear disc pads and the rotors look good. Any idea what is causing this noise?
Optional Information: Make: Buick Model: LeSaber Year: 2000 Already Tried: Disc pads and rotors.
Hello, I'm Cam. Please include all the details about your issue so I can accurately advise you. I cannot see your vehicle so please be detailed.
When driving, does application of the brake change it at all?
Is there a vibration that goes along with it as well?
Application of the brake does not change the noise, it squeals only when turning left.
Then you have play inside the wheel bearing.
I suggest checking the wheel bearings. Lift the front end and grab the tire at the top and the bottom. Push and pull on the top and bottom of the time and see if you can feel any movement other than the flex of the tire. Also try turning the tire. You may year the noise if the bearing is bad enough. If you find something, replace the wheel bearing assembly.
Thank You Cam,
I thought that might be the case. I will replace the bearing assembly.
