My daughter has a 1995 Buick Park Avenue. The anti-theft alarm is going off when she opens her unlocked door? She is away at college and needs to know how to turn off the system. The horn continues to blow even when she starts the engine.

My daughter is at a review session for finals week until 6:30pm this evening. I will contact her afterwards and see if she can do this, however, I don't think she has a key for the doors, only the key with the chip in it. The device to lock and unlock the doors and trunk has a dead battery.
Thanks,That is a problem then. She will either need to get a door key or a remote to be able to reset this. She might get lucky and get it to settle down by removing the battery cables and reconnecting them back up. This works only sometimes though.Let me know if she still needs help please.

HiEither remove the glove box lock or trunk lock and take to a locksmith or call a mobile locksmith, which is probably the best option in this case.Let me know if you have any more questions.
