Hello and thank you for using JustAnswer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will do my best to help you with your Buick problem.

Unplug the coolant temperature sensor near the thermostat housing, then start the engine. Both fans should come on. If they do, replace the sensor.

Which fan came on? Driver or passenger side?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
passenger side

Check COOL FAN 1 fuse, then with engine running and connector unplugged, remove and reinstall COOL FAN 1 relay. Does the relay click when removing and reinstalling?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
yes the relay clicks this is a brand new relay that i just put in
Expert:  Dave Nova replied 5 years ago.
If the relay clicks, it is engergizing. If the fuse is good, the relay should push power through to the fan. With the engine running and connector unplugged, tap on the fan motor or use a pencil to push start the fan blade to see if the fan motor will then run.

that did both fans are working thank you

Expert:  Dave Nova replied 5 years ago.
The fan motor will need to be replaced, as you do not want to ride under the hood and tap on it to get it going if it sticks again.
