how do you replace the bearing in the a/c clutch?
you will need a clutch plate remover and installer tool to first remove the outer plate.once that is off you will remove the snap ring and then remove the pulley with the bearing in it.then that old bearing needs to be pressed out with a press and the new bearing pressed in.if you remove the pulley with the bearing in it most shops will press out the old bearing and install the new bearing for you for very cheap.(if you dont have a press to do so)graphicgraphic

can i do it on the car, and how does the clutch come off with spanner wrench, does it screw off?
the outer clutch plate comes off with the tool.once the outer plate is off then there is a snap ring and then remove the drive belt off the pulley and the pulley should slide off with the bearing still pressed into the inside of can do it in the car as long as you can get a straight shot to the center of the compressor to remove the outer pulley
