hitting the horn pad will make it stop sounding when the horns going off?

yes. But a few minutes ago the horn sounded continuously and had to hold the horn pad to keep it off

ok.there is something wrong in that horn pad/airbag.remove the 4 screws from behind in this picture# 9.inspect # 11 to make sure that horn contact is not broken or if there are any cut wires.if that looks good the horn switch witch is built into the airbag needs to be changed( complete airbag assembly)

I can not make sense of the image. what is the cost of replacing the airbag

the bags run@$300 to $ 500 depending on parts marks up.if you hunt around some salvage yards/junk yards you might be able to pick one up very cheap
