I recently purchased a used 2009 buick enclave with 50,000 miles . It now has about 60000 miles. My wife normally drives the car. I drive it this weekend and noticed that it was missing a lot at when going down the road at a constsant speed at around 60 - 65 MPH. The car just was very rough. because the car is very quiet, It did not seem to miss when under load - although because it is so quiet, I could not be sure.Any suggestions???

Hi,Is the check engine light on, or did it blink off and on when the misfiring was happening?any other symptoms, such as decreased gas mileage or erratic idle when stopped?
I don't think that any check engine light was on or blinking. Where would it be?
As far as gas milage, I don't know. I never thouht that this thing got good milage. What should it be around town?? on the Highway?? Is the computer estimate for gas milage good enough??
My wife has the car now. I will have to wait until this evening to check....
Hi,The check engine light is on the dash in the instrument cluster and will light up when the computer detects a malfunction. At 60,000 miles, you are due for spark plug replacement, which is a good place to start for engine misfires as they are usually responsible for the misfire. On the mpg, the computer estimate is usually pretty close to being accurate. You should get between 20-24mpg for highway and between 14-17mpg for city driving. If it is lower than that, then we may be looking at a fuel delivery issue such as dirty injectors in addition to worn spark plugs. If the check engine light is on, unless you live in California, you can run it by any parts store and they can read the computer for any stored fault codes and give you the definition for FREE. Misfire codes will be P0300 for multiple misfires, and P0301 thru P0306 for a specific cylinder misfire.

So, do plugs go bad at 60,000 often? My chrysler town and country van was a bear to replace the plugs. Is this one hard to replace the plugs??
Also, I am due for an oil change. I normally do this myself. How do I reset the oil life sensor when I change the oil.??
Hi,platinum plugs usually last about 58-65,000 miles, and are recommended to be replaced every 60,000 miles. Plugs are not too bad to replace on this one.Yours has coil on plugs instead of spark plug wires. To replace the plugs, disconnect the harness connector to each coil, then remove the single 10mm retaining bolt and pull coil upwards. Once coil is out, use your spark plug socket and extension to replace the plugs.

HOW TO RESET THE ENGINE OIL LIFE SYSTEM The Engine Oil Life System calculates when to change your engine oil and filter based on vehicle use. Anytime your oil is changed, reset the system so it can calculate when the next oil change is required. If a situation occurs where you change your oil prior to a "CHANGE OIL SOON" message being turned on, reset the system. After changing the engine oil, the system must be reset as follows:
There is a big plastic cover over the engine that snaps off. Then there is like a felt cover over the engine. How does that come off?
I see that one row of plugs are in front and one is behind near the firewall. Once the felt comes off do I need special tools to get to the back plugs???
Please advise...
