2003 buick century will not start and the horn is stuck on
Country: United StatesMake: BuickModel: CenturyYear: 2003Engine: 3.1
The horn is going off like there is a alarm going off? When did this start?
the horn is constant started yesterday. had to unplug horn to stop
Does the engine crank over?
no, not even a click checked battery and it's good even tried to jump start
Try locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key to see if that helps the problem.
no luck
You might try disconnecting the battery (both terminals) touch the terminals together for 1 minute and see if that helps, if it does not the problem is most likely a after market alarm system and a special key fob is usually needed to disarm it, if that is the case and you do not have the key fob you need to look for the module for the alarm system to see if there are fuses for it, usually if you remove the fuses for it that will disable the system.
the car doesn't have any alarm system. just the standard lock/unlock button and the horn isn't pulsing it is constant. thought it might be the multifuntion switch in the steering colunm but didn't know if that would effect the ignition
The ignition would not make the horn go off so I would not suspect that, there is a possibility that a computer failure could cause this problem but that would need to be tested using a scan tool. There are after market alarms that go off constantly but if you have owned this car since it is new you should know if it has one.
