GM Tech (Cam) :

Hello, I'm Cam. Please include all the details about your issue so I can accurately advise you. I cannot see your vehicle so please be detailed.

GM Tech (Cam) :

Is it all the dash lights or just one component of the dash?

GM Tech (Cam) :

Outside parking lights operational?

Customer:

does these cars have ground problems ?

Customer:

GM Tech (Cam) :

Please do. Then tell me if you have a test light.

Customer:

give me 10 seconds i will ck , i do have a test light

GM Tech (Cam) :

Ok, test light?

GM Tech (Cam) :

If its ok, I will suggest a test or 2 and you do them then report back,

Customer:

fuse lights up on both sides

GM Tech (Cam) :

Ok, next pop the headlights switch out and test at the yellow wire for power with the headlight on. If that is on then test the gray coming out of the switch.

Customer:

does it just pull out of dash ?

GM Tech (Cam) :

No you will need to pull the trim around it from the end of the dash and leave the wiring hooked up so we can test.

Customer:

k will do

GM Tech (Cam) :

Is that all for today then?

Customer:

switch out -testing wires

GM Tech (Cam) :

ok

Customer:

yellow wire is hot-gray next to it is not

GM Tech (Cam) :

Is that with the lights on?

Customer:

yep

GM Tech (Cam) :

How about the other gray, there are 2

Customer:

i t is on other end of conector i couldnt get it to light the test light

GM Tech (Cam) :

The 2 are connected together and I need to be sure it is not the splice so if that other does not have power then you need that headlight switch.
