Customer Question

just changed the O2 sensor in my 2001 Buick Century. Now the engine power is sporadic. It loses power and feels like it is about to die out. Then it will jerk forward on its own. Did I do something wrong when I changed out the sensor?

Hello & Welcome to JA,

Go back & recheck your work to make sure you did not disturb any other engine control sensor. This problem sounds like a mass air flow sensor fault.

Customer replied 888 days and 18 hours ago.

Put the old O2 sensor back in and now it runs fine.

I would have to say that there is most definitely a problem with that new 0/2 sensor.Check the connector & electrical terminal very closely.
