2006 Buick: disconnect and remove the fuse box

Customer Question

How do you change the battery on a 2006 Buick Terraza? Do you have to disconnect and remove the fuse box and all of the other connections above the battery?

Hello and thank you for your post. I am a master certified GM tech and can help you to resolve your issue. when you remove the cross support bar above the battery, then remove the bolts holding the fuse box in and there are clips that need to be released and the fuse box will lift up and off the fender without needing to be unplugged, That should give JUST enough room to sneak the battery out. It's tight but it will come out. Hope this helps. Good luck and please click accept. Thank you.

How do you remove the bolts holding the fuse box. They are in a very small area--too small to insert a wrench.

yes you can get a 10MM wrench in there. It's tight but it will fit.
