2006 Buick Lucerne CXL: V8..the low oil pressure light come..presure

This answer was rated:

Hello, I have a 2006 Buick Lucerne CXL V8 that had the low oil pressure light come on. The car did not run hot or make any unusual noise. I read someplace on the web about a prssure relief spring that can sometimes bind causing zero presure. Also it needs a new oil pan gasket. How hard is it to change the oil pan gasket and what is involved on dealing with this spring? Thanks in advance, Ken.

Hello & Welcome to JA,

This is a pretty big job (6.7hrs warranty) transmission has to be removed
