did you check the oil level? did you get the vehicle scanned for trouble codes? did you check oil level sensor connector? most parts places will scan for free.
YES, OIL LEVEL WAS CHECKED. DAUGHTER HAD BUICK FULLY SERVICED AND WE STILL HAD PROBLEM.
LATER HAD A GM DEALER CHECK CODES. FOUND NOTHING DEFINITE. WHEN IDLI\G OIL PRESSURE SHOWED NORMAL ON INSTRUMENT, BUT WHEN HE STEPPED ON GAS, OIL PRESSURE WOULD DROP. HE ADDED ABOUT 1/2 QUART OF OIL. WE WENT DOWN ROAD A SHORT DISTANCE AND LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. STOPPED CAR AND RESTARTED, OK.
NEXT DAY TRAVELED 300 MILES NON-STOP, NO LIGHT PROBLEM.

FORMER CHEVROLET DEALER, LOST FRANCHISE IN GM SHAKE UP, LIGHT NEVER CAME ON DURING REST OF DAY.
THE IS NO GM DEALER IN OUR COMMUNITY. HAVE MADE APPOITMENT TO TAKE BUICK 70 MILES ONE WAY ON TUESDAY TO LOOK AT THIS AND SAFISFY A RECALL NOTICE. HOW DOES GM EXPECT TO SELL MANY CARS WITH SO FEW DEALERS?

there is a oil sensor near the oil filter. There are 2 sensors one for the ECM and the other for the safety level system. I would take the connector off and pinch the terminals on the connector. If that does not do it I would replace the sensor.
