1995 buick lesabre: loses..ALL power [engine,steering..re-start

Customer Question

Our 1995 Buick Lasabre periodicallly ( 3 times in last 3 months ) totally loses ALL power [engine,steering,brakes].
Within 3 minutes, we're able to re-start the engine and everything has returned to normal - for another month or so.
Any thoughts ? Thanks

These are the most common problems we see with this vehicle. I am assuming the vehicle does run and the mechanic can not get it to duplicate the problem?

If this is the case, I would have him do a tap test on the computer. If you tap on the computer and the vehicle stalls there is a loose connection inside the computer and needs to be replaced. Have replaced a lot of computers on these vehicles for this problem.
