2002 Buick Lesabre: dashboard lights..Headlights turn..parking..lamps

Resolved Question:

2002 Buick Lesabre- Cannot get exterior lights or dashboard lights to turn off.
Headlights turn off. The parking lamps button doesn't do anything. Could be stuck.

These cars are known for those two buttons (park and headlamp) to stick. There are tiny lights inside and they get hot enough to make the buttons swell up, so that when you press them in, they get stuck inside. You can often take a tiny screwdriver and pry the button back out, but they are latching buttons (like a ball point pen - clicks in and clicks out) so you may need to pry it out a little to make it click the first time, press it in again before you can pop it all the way out. (or it may come all the way out the first time you pry it).

Once out, you can either replace the switch (the whole bezel and switch just pop out as one unit, real easy to do) or you can just remind everybody who drives your car NOT TO TOUCH!!!! and save yourself some money.
