Customer Question

Changed brake pads and L/R tire is very hot. Put on new rotor and it still gets hot onXXXXXwith minimal braking.

Year : 1999
Make : Buick
Model: Park Ave ultra
Engine: 3.8

Already Tried:
Notice brake chirping so changed pads. L/R pad was much more worn than others and L/R tire was getting hot. Changed Rotor and L/R tire is still getting much hotter than others. jacked car up and the tire turned with a little noise from pad touching but not much.

Okay, was there any heat problems before you changed the pads?

Okay. Typically on this vehicle it is due to a problem with the caliper. On these vehicles with the parking brake built into the caliper it is common for the caliper to begin to hang up and keep some drag on the pads after the brakes are applied. This will require caliper replacement.
