Is this a I-6 4.2 liter engine??
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I am uncertain, it says Vortec 4200 when I lift up the hood.

Ok, it is the I-6 4.2 liter engine. To replace the spark plugs, you need to remove the air box on the top of the engine. Its held on with 2 10mm bolts and 2 hose clamps.

1. Should any other parts be changes with the plugs like the coils?
2. Are there any torque specs to the spark plugs?
Expert:  MPMoore replied 7 years ago.
The coils only should be changed when they are bad. No other parts need to be replaced but wile you have the air box off, its a good idea to clean the throttle body. It should be cleaned every 30k miles to help keep a good idle. The throttle body is located on the drivers side of the engine, when you remove the air hose off with the air box, you will see a large round valve. Clean this valve and inside bore area when the valve seals, you can use carb or throttle body cleaner. Your local auto parts store will have this cleaner instock.

This is what the throotle body looks like.

The proper torque for the spark plus is 13 ft lbs.
