I have a 1998 Buick Park Avenue that has dual climate controls-

Resolved Question:

I have a 1998 Buick Park Avenue that has dual climate controls- the driver side runs cold the passenger side runs full HOT? Also the driver window motor seems to run extremely slow

You have a blend door motor for the passenger side that is stuck in the heat posiiton can sometimes tap on it to get it to function

where is the motor located? and lets say for the sake of it - what would the next step be?

gain access to it and tap it with a screw driver may kick in i did it to a impala doing the exact same thing and its been working for six months now

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

  1. Remove the right sound insulator.
  2. Remove the IP compartment.
  3. Remove the body control module and the HVAC programmer from the brackets and lay aside.
  4. Remove the electrical connector from the passenger air mix actuator.
  5. Remove the passenger air mix actuator retaining screws (1).

  1. Remove the passenger air mix actuator.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

  1. Install the passenger air mix actuator.



NOTE : Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  1. Install the passenger air mix retaining screws (1). Tighten Tighten the screws to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in) .
  2. Install the electrical connector to the passenger air mix actuator.
  3. Install the body control module and the HVAC programmer into the appropriate brackets.
  4. Install the IP compartment.
  5. Install the right sound insulator.
