how do i remove and replace the ashtray assembly on a 2005 Buick Century?

Hello I will help y ou with your question,

 

First you remove the lower trim:

  1. Remove the screws from the bottom of the I/P accessory trim plate.
  2. Pull the I/P accessory trim plate rearward in order to release the retaining clips.
  3. Rotate the I/P accessory trim plate rearward and up in order to release the 2 tabs at the top edge.
  4. Disconnect the ash tray harness electrical connector from the I/P harness.
  5. Remove the I/P accessory trim plate.

Then you can remove the ashtray

  • Remove the screws (1) from the instrument panel ashtray bracket.
  • Remove the IP ashtray (2) from the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the ashtray
  •  

     

     

    Reverse to reinstall
