Customer Question

James, I have 1992 mercrusier 7.4 with thunderbolt IV ignition the engine runs perfect most of the time but sometimes at lower RPM's. below 2000 the volt meter will jump from 13 to 14 and the engine shuts down. I then put it in neutral and I restart it and everything operates normally. The it will happen again later. Do you have any idea what could be taking out the ignition this way. I have replaced the coil, the module, the cap, and sensor with no help.Could it be the battery or the alternator?
