Customer Question

Hi I just bought a 97 yamaha exciter with dual engines. From the oil reserve tank the supply line comes off and then go's next to battery with the line yet has a t- connection on it with a stub up of approximately 3" line that looks like it. Could suck air...is this correct? It doesn't seem right or seems like water could get into it...I'm completely lost on this and don't have a mechanics book yet to veiw the oil lines and cannot find anything on- line. Help!
