Customer Question

sensor fault alarm. Not sure which ? 2 quick beeps every minute.
JA: Sometimes things that you think will be really complicated end up being easy to fix. The Marine Mechanic I'm going to connect you with knows all the tricks and shortcuts. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so the Marine Mechanic can help you best.
Customer: all temps fine, and engines running great.
JA: Is there anything else the Marine Mechanic should be aware of?
Customer: I had just cleaned the strainers for the seawater to both engines and the generator without issue. Any connection there ?

Hello my name is ***** ***** am I speaking with?

Does the boat have Mercurys Smartcraft gauges on it?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Hi Jason. it does not have Smartcraft gauges. Mercruiser 8.1S HO FWC, 2007 Regal 3760, 185/190 hours on engines.

Hi George. Without smartcraft gauges the engine is going to have to get hooked up to a scan tool in order to pull the codes, and see what is causing the alarm. There is only 2 ways to pull codes, either via Smartcraft, or a scan tool.

thanks. not much help. Guess I have no choice other than to go to a mechanic that has the scan tool. Thanks anyway.
