I have a 2007 Boston Whaler 270 Outrage with twin Verado

Customer Question

I have a 2007 Boston Whaler 270 Outrage with twin Verado 225's.
2 starter batteries and one house.
In trying to diagnose a power steering failure I seem to have disturbed something and now I've lost power to my starboard engine.
I think I traced the PS issue to the Automatic Power Switch.
I disconnected it and connected the PS pump lead directly (fused) to the battery and now my PS works.
I does not seem that the APS needs to be part of the system for the engines tor run
But now starboard engine is throwing a warning and not starting.
It's acting like I have not turned on the starboard battery switch.
If I set the battery switches to “both” both engines are fine.
All the battery cables see to check out according to the factory diagram and I don't think I forgot anything
These are the fault codes, any ideas?
CAN1 Fault 17
CAN2 Fault 16

Do you have a multimeter to test the APS?
