My 2015 Mercury HP won't crank. Battery voltage is 12.18 volts. Turn the key get the warning beep and nothing. What can it be? It has set over the winter.

Do you have a volt meter, and do you know how to take voltage measurements?

Go back to the starter solenoid on the engine. You will see a brown wire on one of the small posts. Have a helper turn the key to start, do you get a voltage reading on that wire?
