Customer Question

Hi just bought a boat with a second hand Honda 4 stroke 175hp. Regular service history and went through mech inspection fine. Morning of first trip out smelt petrol when went on board, and seemed to be petrol on water. After running engine for 5 minutes engine alarm came on. Any ideas?

Hello, my name is***** will assist you.

There is a vent hose on the top of the Vapor seperator tank that leads to the bottom of the cowling. Make sure that fuel is not coming from there. If it is, the VST is flooding and it will need to be open and inspected for a failing float or needle.
