Jason,
I'm getting no reading across the regulator.
I'm showing continuity across the side going to the engine. Should I replace the voltage regulator?
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick,You don't need to measure anything on the regulator, just the stator side. Can you read the actual resistance in ohms? Will your meter read accurately below 1 ohm?
Customer: replied 6 months ago.
I'm using a digital fluke meter but will try to find one with a smaller scale.
Thanks
Expert:  Jason replied 6 months ago.
Your fluke should be able to do it. Do you happen to know the model number on your Fluke, I 'll try and look it up.

Found a cheap meter with a small scale
Reading was .6 to.8 ohms.
I'll get a regulator.
Thanks for your help.

Sounds like a plan. Make extra sure your battery cable ends are clean and shiney, and that there are stainless steel locknuts on the battery terminal vs wingnuts. Happy boating!Jason
