I am replacing a float switch that has 3 wires with a float

Customer Question

I am replacing a float switch that has 3 wires with a float switch that has 2 wires. Besides a Off/on/Auto switch. The sump pump is wired directly to the battery. so when the batteries are turned off, the bilge pump is still controlled by the float switch. I wanted the two wire switch because it is solid state , with no moving parts. The float in the 3 wire switch sticks closed, and runs the battery down. Is there a way to do this?
